Indian Silk Woven Rug

This is a custom-made carpet imported from Tamil Nadu in India. Unfortunately, it was not the colour I wanted - turquoise is not for me. However the quality of this carpet is unique. It's woven from pure silk, and it came from a small co-operative business, which I visited myself. Due to the nature of the silk pile, depending on which end you stand, you will see a different hue, which you can see in the photos. In photo 1, the tone is deeper and in photo 2 it's lighter. It's because of this unique quality that I ordered this carpet. The main colours are turquoise and a kind of reddish-pink.
