TP-Link TL-WR1043ND WiFi router

TP-Link TL-WR1043ND WiFi router TP-Link TL-WR1043ND WiFi router Routers and Modems

A true classic Gigabit WiFi router: TL-WR1043ND by TP-Link.

As on the photos:
- The canonical OpenWRT hardware for many years.
- v1.1: Qualcomm Atheros AR9132 @ 400 MHz.
- 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n.
- 5x GE ports: 4x LAN, 1x WAN. 1x USB 2.0 port.
- Quite versatile: can be a hotspot, repeater, extender, border router etc.
- Wall-mountable.

Working fine. Often better for far-reaching 2.4 GHz extension than more modern gizmos. Was well-used for tons of purposes over the years, surplus now however.

Collection from Raheny, Dublin 5.

@Gabriel.co: Got the router out now and fired it up with the AU/NZ (+UK adapter) 12 V DC power supply I always used it with, works fine, ready with OpenWRT. You can have them both together for a total of €6 if you like, how's that? Just make an offer.

@lig: Hi, I can prep it with either TP-Link firmware or OpenWRT if you prefer. With the latter, you should be able to do pretty much anything OpenWRT allows — VPNs are a good example, I personally never used them, however that is a very common use case as I understand. I hope this helps. Cheers!

@JohnHoare2023: Hi, thanks for your interest! Any 12 volt DC power supply can work, I can include one for an extra €3 if you like. Postage will likely be an extra €10 or so, should I check into that?

Is the firmware flashed ? Does it have OpenWRT?

can I configure this router to use my VPN account as a client?

Want to set up my media device to get/use a UK IP address.

Thanks
