TP-Link AV1000 Gigabit Powerline Wi-Fi Extender (TL-WPA7617)

Important: To use this device properly, you will need a second TP-Link adapter that uses the HomePlug AV2 standard, like the TL-PA7017P which I also have for sale on my profile. I am willing to give discounts if you also buy a TL-PA7017P.

This is a Powerline Adapter, an alternative to WiFi. Plug into the wall near your device and the other by the router. It uses your walls electrical lines as Ethernet lines.

It also has a WiFi signal, so you can connect through powerline from across the house, then send out a WiFi signal to extend your range.

You would connect the 2nd TP-Link Adapter (sold separately) near the router, and the connect this one wherever you need better WiFi signal. You will also need an Ethernet cable to connect the other adapter to the router.

It will create a new WiFi name that you can connect to. Alternatively, you can edit settings and name it the same as your normal WiFi, that way your phone/laptop will connect to whichever has a better connection, no matter where you are in the house.

These support 1000 mbps up/down so long as the distance isnt too much and your electrical wiring is good quality.

Does not come with any packaging, manuals, or ethernet cables. You can use any ethernet cable with these, Cat 5a or better is recommended.
