Project Giant Bicycle

Classic Giant X-500 hybrid/commuter bike being sold as a restoration project or for parts. Parked up for a long time and is not rideable, it will need to be transported in a car boot or van.

Frame:
The classic Giant 4130 chromoly steel frame is straight, intact, and structurally sound. Ideal bare-bones starting point for a retro gravel bike build, winter beater, or single-speed town runner.

I didn't notice a size decal on the tube, but it was used comfortably by a 6ft rider, so believe it's a Large (approx. 21-22 inch / 54-56 cm)

Wheels:
Original Mach 1 (France) alloy rims with hubs still present.

Work Needed / Condition:
- Complete drivetrain overhaul required (chain, cassette/freewheel, and rear derailleur are heavily rusted/seized).
- Brakes, gear shifters, and all cabling need full replacement.
- Saddle cover is torn and handlebar has surface rust.
- Tyres and tubes will need replacing/checking.
