Boardman Carbon Road Bike – Size M – Needs Some Work

Selling my Boardman full-carbon road bike, size M.

I bought it second-hand about 6 months ago for €400 Unfortunately, I was not told about a number of issues with the bike, so I’m now selling it cheaply and being completely honest about its condition. I’m not hiding any defects — the price reflects the work it needs.

Main points:

* Full carbon frame and fork
* Size M
* Rear derailleur and shifters work properly
* Brakes work properly
* Frame itself is structurally sound
* There are various scratches, scuffs and cosmetic marks on the frame/paintwork

Seatpost:
The original seatpost was completely seized in the frame and could not be removed or adjusted. The only practical solution was to cut the old seatpost and fit a smaller-diameter one using a proper shim. It is now secure and works reliably, so there is nothing to worry about from a riding point of view, but there is a cosmetic modification/defect in this area.

Front derailleur:
The front derailleur needs adjustment/tuning. I don’t know how to set it up properly, so this will need attention from the new owner.

Rear wheel:
This is the main current issue. The rear wheel has a significant amount of wobble/out-of-true, to the point where it catches the brake pads even when the brakes are loosened. The wheel will need to be trued/adjusted or possibly replaced.

I don’t want to spend more money or time fixing it, as we’ve decided to buy a new bike rather than continue dealing with second-hand bikes.

There are definitely cosmetic imperfections, scratches and marks, but the carbon frame itself appears solid and reliable.

Selling as-is and priced accordingly.
Ideal for someone who knows about bikes and is happy to do some work or use it as a project/parts bike.
