2019 Cannondale CAADX 105 SE

Selling for the price of a frame + carbon fork.

Genuine, one-owner bike bought brand new in late 2019 from McCarthys, Cork for ~€1,500 (I still have the receipt somewhere).


aluminium frame with full-carbon fork – still straight, no crashes or structural damage. Normal wear and tear. Some scratches.

Current condition - being totally honest:

the last 3- 4 years (only ~100 km/month max, mostly 4 km commutes) to/from work, 3 days a week.

Rear brake cable has snapped inside the shifter → rear brake currently not working.

Shifters/brake levers feel notchy and will almost certainly need replacing.

Both derailleurs are worn and sluggish – front especially.

Chain and cassette are tired.

This is a perfect winter/project bike for someone who can turn a spanner or who has a good mechanic. Once fixed up, it will be a €1,000+ bike again.

I’ve moved to another bike and I’m not prepared to spend the money a shop would charge to bring it back to perfect order.

"Your bike has been serviced. However, during the service our mechanic noted that your chain and cassette are worn and will need replacing, your rear derailleur is not compatible with your shifters, your rear wheel is buckled and your left shifter does not return properly. Unfortunately replacing these parts are not covered by the service and you would need to bring the bike into the shop directly for this work to be completed."
