Reptile Nova Bulb For Terrariums UVA+UVB 80W
Reptile Nova 80W UVA-UVB bulb
The Reptile Nova UVA-UVB bulb provides an optimal combination of ultraviolet radiation (UVA and UVB), visible light and infrared radiation (heat) in a single light source. This solution perfectly imitates natural sunlight, supporting the proper development of animals and preventing metabolic bone disease.
It is a full-spectrum bulb that supports key physiological processes such as feeding, life activity and reproduction. The right level of UV radiation has a beneficial effect on the metabolism and overall condition of terrarium animals.
Please note that the intensity of UV radiation gradually decreases with use, so it is recommended to replace the bulb at least once every 12 months.
When choosing lighting, consider the requirements of the specific animal species and maintain a minimum distance of 20 cm between the bulb and the animal. The maximum effective range of radiation is 60 cm.
80W:
nocturnal/shade-loving reptiles – distance from the heat island 45-55 cm;
tropical reptiles – distance from the heat island 35-45 cm;
desert reptiles – distance from the heat island 25-35 cm.
Ideal for:
– small terrariums,
– tropical reptiles,
– young animals.
Minimum absolute distance:
80W – 25 cm.
Safe UVB lighting cycle time for individual species:
nocturnal/shade-loving reptiles: 4-6 hours,
tropical reptiles: 8-10 hours,
desert reptiles: 10-12 hours.
If undesirable symptoms occur in animals, such as:
– lethargy,
– excessive colouration/fading,
– closing/squinting of the eyes,
– avoidance of sitting on the heat island,
increase the distance between the bulb and the heat island by 10/15 cm from the recommended height for the specific bulb power and animal species.
