Sorry was watching this and saw the question on copper welding. Technically yes, but it would depend on the thickness of the material, the preheating done to the material and using the correct gas. I dont see why not. You would need to set it to DCEN and do a lot of practice to get any sort of good result though. Foot pedal is best for copper to control the pool but with practice you "could" in theory do a decent job. The gas would be a HUGE aspect though and getting the right flow.
