This multi tool was not used much but when it was used it was used mostly for cutting plasterboard and the inevitable happened - the dust caused the motor to burn out.

I have looked on YouTube and replacing the motor does not look too complicated but I don't have a great track record in repairing tools so I will let someone else try.
