▪︎ Postcard Showing : The Boyne Obelisk ( Also Known As King William's Obelisk ) which was located at Oldbridge , near Drogheda , Co. Meath. It was situated on the banks of the River Boyne , near the site of the 1690 Battle of the Boyne. The Monument was destroyed on the 31st May 1923 shortly after the end of the Irish Civil War , purportedly by members of the National Army using three explosives or landmines removed from a nearby Irish Army Camp , Only a small stump remains of the Monument
