Antique Pre-WW1 Postcard & History Lot - Prague, Vienna, Freiburg, Strasbourg + Dublin Letter
For sale is an exceptional, authentic antique collector's lot dating back to the pre-WW1 era (Late Victorian / Edwardian period).
The collection includes:
Large Batch of Antique Prague & Vienna Postcards: Early period, high-quality black & white and sepia views of Prague (Praha) and Vienna from the Austro-Hungarian Empire era. Please note that these are the highly collectible, genuine smaller antique format postcards (approx. 9x14cm) from the golden age of postcards. Some feature original stamps, postmarks, and period handwriting on the back.
Freiburg, Strasbourg & Early European Views: Includes beautiful antique topographics of Freiburg (im Breisgau), Strasbourg (Werth), and scenic European landscapes from the same era.
1898 Dublin Mount Jerome Cemetery Letter: A genuine piece of Irish social history. A letter addressed to Revd F. Olden at Ballyclough Vicarage regarding a burial plot, signed by the clerk (B. L. Hulbert). PLEASE NOTE: This letter is missing approx. 1-1.5cm along its left edge, cutting off the first letters of some words, but the main text remains legible (see close-up photos).
Victorian Cabinet Card: A crisp, beautifully preserved photographic portrait of a young gentleman by W. & J. Wood (106 Grove Rd, Bow, E. London).
A fantastic, untouched estate lot perfect for deltiologists (postcard collectors), genealogists, or history enthusiasts.
