I do understand what youre saying, but it is still a ps4. I'd be buying it for the kids only to replace it at Christmas, so unfortunately I just wouldn't be able to offer more and I understand if youd like to hold off for a better offer.

Yes, it will work. I’ve connected it to my PS4 and tested it - no noticeable difference compared to the original controller (at least from my experience).

I’ve also used it with Windows, iPad, iPhone, and Xbox One. The manual also states support for Nintendo devices, and I believe it should connect to macOS without any issues as well.
