Pinus mugo 'Carsten's Wintergold' is a very beautiful dwarf conifer which forms a bun shape with an open structure. It provides excellent winter colour, bright rich golden yellow from October to April, possibly the best mugo variety for colour. A slow growing variety, it has quite a low spreading habit. Height 45-60cm x Spread 90cm-1.2m (18-24in x 3-4ft) approx. in 10 years. Ideally suited to exposed planting sites, dislikes shade and prefers free draining soil
