Katsura tree (Cercidiphyllum japonicum) is a graceful ornamental tree with elegant heart-shaped leaves and a lovely layered shape. Fresh green foliage in spring and summer turns to brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and pink in autumn, often with a sweet caramel-like scent as the leaves fall.

This beautiful tree is ideal as a feature plant for larger gardens, where it can provide year-round structure and spectacular seasonal colour. It prefers a sunny to partly shaded spot in moist, well-drained soil and grows into a medium to large tree, so it needs room to develop.
