Japanese red cedar tree
These tress are 4 years old , are between 110cm to 120cm tall and the trunk is about 14mm wide at the base.As the name suggests , they are native to Japan but will grow fine in Ireland.
The bark is orange to red brown and sheds in fine strips while the foliage is permanently juvenile and is blue – green in summer and turns purple – brown in winter. It is a slow growing tree generally reaching no more than 20m
They seem to constantly change colour through out the year.
They have been in the " air pots " for the last two years and have a great root structure , which can be teased apart if you want to use the tree for a bonsai.
The air-pots are included or I can put the tree into a fabric bag if you want.
