Fig trees
Ficus Carica 'Brown Turkey' is a distinctive fig tree especially suited to the Irish climate. With broad, deeply lobed leaves, this plant can be trained up sunny walls and trellis and although the flowers are small they will produce large juicy fruits in late summer or early autumn. If grown under cover in a warmer environment, it may produce up to two crops in a year.
