@Nikkily: Yes, you're right to be careful of invasive species, you're referring to the hybrid Crocosmia x Crocosmiiflora. This is not the one I have, I have the lucifer variety which is growing taller (over 1.20m) with larger leaves and more vivid colors, which is even better!

Well I asked because only Lucifer is recommended. The other Montbretia (Crocosmia) is a highly invasive, non-native plant widely established across Ireland, especially in the mild, damp west and southwest. Introduced as an ornamental, this bulb-forming plant spreads rapidly through rhizomes, choking out native vegetation in hedgerows, roadsides, and gardens.
