A beautiful deciduous tree grown for its elegant shape and stunning seasonal colour. Cercidiphyllum japonicum produces attractive heart-shaped leaves that emerge with a bronze tint in spring, turn fresh green in summer, and develop spectacular shades of yellow, orange, apricot and crimson in autumn. As the leaves fall, they often release a delightful sweet fragrance reminiscent of caramel or burnt sugar.
