anthurium vittarifolium
Plant sale anthurium vittarifolium
A beautiful, elegant trailing Anthurium with long, strap-like leaves that become increasingly dramatic as the plant matures. This species is highly sought after by aroid collectors for its graceful hanging foliage and tropical appearance. Healthy, well-established plant with excellent growth potential.
Care Guide
🌿 Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.
💧 Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm of the potting mix feels slightly dry. Keep the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged.
💦 Humidity: Prefers 60–80% humidity. Higher humidity encourages larger, healthier leaves.
🌡️ Temperature: Best between 18–28°C. Protect from temperatures below 15°C.
🪴 Soil: A chunky, well-draining aroid mix containing orchid bark, perlite, coco chips, and sphagnum moss.
🌱 Fertiliser: Feed every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength.
Growth Habit
Anthurium vittarifolium is an epiphytic species with cascading foliage that can grow over 1 metre long under ideal conditions, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or elevated shelves.
