Agave americana ‘Variegata’ (Variegated Century Plant)

A spectacular architectural succulent with large, fleshy leaves marked with broad creamy-yellow margins and blue-green centres. Agave americana ‘Variegata’ forms an impressive symmetrical rosette and is an excellent choice for adding a dramatic Mediterranean or exotic look to the garden.

Best grown in full sun with very free-draining soil or compost. Avoid prolonged winter wet, as this is more likely to cause problems than cold itself. In Ireland, container growing is ideal so the plant can be moved under cover during prolonged wet or severe winter weather.

Please note that this is a spiky plant, so allow plenty of space around it.
