Fast growing hardy hybrid willow of the variety Salix Viminalis. Expect 3-4 meters growth in the first year, making it an excellent choice for basket-making or quick hedge/ screen to create windbreak & privacy. Grows to over 20 feet, thickening to about 4”.
Harvest for biomass fuel on a 3 year cycle. Create living willow furniture for your garden. Train into fences. Suitable for coastal areas. Grows well in wet areas & helps drainage (eg around septic tanks) and also helps soil stabilization.
Easy to plant. Push straight into soil to depth of 20cm.
Cuttings are 30cm in length, and are packed in bundles of 20, 50 or 100. They are cut on demand from this year’s freshest growth (Grade 1 with superior hormone levels for growth), and are wrapped in plastic to maintain their moisture during transport.
