Pair of Vintage French Rooster Wood Panel Paintings - Signed Et. Latour

An exceptional pair of rustic paintings depicting roosters, which are a traditional symbol of France. These works were painted with paints on thick, specially aged wooden panels, giving them a unique, pastoral atmosphere. Both paintings are hand-signed in the lower right corner by the French artisan-artist Et. Latour. The works represent the classic French Country, Provençal, and shabby chic style. They depict two roosters looking in opposite directions, making them ideal for symmetrical hanging next to each other as a coherent set. The condition of the items is good; a natural patina is visible, the wood is in good condition, and there are minor small dents visible up close but barely noticeable from a distance, caused by the passage of time with previous owners.
