A fine pair of original c. 1900 antique chromolithograph bird prints by renowned British wildlife and sporting artist Charles H. Whymper (1853–1941).

These original color book plates feature detailed studies of game pheasants:

Print 1: Phasianus Versicolor (Japanese Pheasant) & Phasianus Torquatus (Ring-necked Pheasant) — Signed with Whymper’s intertwined CW monogram lower right.

Print 2: Phasianus Colchicus (Common Pheasant Cock & Hen) — Signed C. Whymper lower left.

Framing: Housed in matching wide-profile solid wooden frames with gilt inner slips (fillets) behind glass.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minor light age toning and lovely natural patina on the frames.
