Nice painting looking onto the lifeguard hut, Martello tower and period house and garden from the perspective of the jetty at Sandycove.
A very pleasant painting, with a nice colour palette representing a vista that will be very familiar to many of Dublin's sea swimmers. Would be a nice gift for such a person and it's a really nice painting and it really pops in a Gold Frame. I've just sat it into this frame with some cardboard wedges, but it wouldn't take the right person long to mount it properly in this or some other frame.
Could be a nice gift for someone who enjoys the Fortyfoot.
The only provenance that I have for this painting is that it looks to be signed by an M. Walsh '06
