This vibrant abstract painting by Jan O’Sullivan captures a dynamic landscape, where a luminous horizon of soft ochres and muted browns meets a tumultuous foreground. Bold strokes of turquoise and deep magenta dominate the lower composition, creating a sense of lush, textured terrain or agitated waters. Expressive gestures and visible drips add a raw energy, contrasting with the more serene, layered washes above. The interplay of rich, earthy tones with vivid, jewel-like colors evokes a powerful, elemental scene, rendered with confident brushwork and a palpable sense of movement.
