Large "Bubbles" Print
The iconic Bubbles, a print that must have sold in millions from the time (early 1900s) it was first purchased and then printed by Pears Soap to advertise its wears. Pears gave away a different print every year, making Pears soap the most well known, loved and used soap of its time!
John Everett Millet used as a model his grandson, and he managed to survive his nickname of Bubbles to become an admiral in the Royal Navy - some achievement! The title Millet gave his painting ‘A Child’s World” but no one remembers that now.
Finely framed and glazed.
