Paul Tavernor
Paul was born in Cheshire, England in 1971. He is a self taught Artist and Sculptor, and owns and runs the Paul Tavernor Gallery which is nestled in the lovely village of Poynton Cheshire.
Paul has been working full time as a professional artist for many years and is well known for his distinctive depiction of hares, foxes, stags, and more recently dogs, which are now also represented in the medium of wire sculpture.
His Giant Hare 'Farahop' which is 15ft long has been showcased in the National Trust sites of Tatton Park, Lymm Park, Delamere Sculpture Park, and on the grounds of the historic Devonshire Dome in Buxton Derbyshire.
He created three beautiful wire sculpture dogs for the 2016 RHS flower show which were made to acompany the Dogs Trust showpeice Garden at Hampton Court Palace, London.
His work has been published nationally and he has won many awards along the way. Most notably being voted as one of the best selling artists in the UK on three occasions by National Galleries and Framers. He has been a finalist in the BBC's Wildlife Artist of The Year. He also won the Mail on Sunday award for best new artist.
