Here is a fabulous late 18th/;early 19th century oil on canvas.. depicting a double shipwreck just out from a rocky shoreline..and a single lifeboat attempting to reach shore in rough seas.This is a dramatic painting that is full of energy and movement.This is by a very accomplished hand.. English school and unsigned..The frame for the canvas has been pegged together leading me to lean towards late 18th century.The frame is 29x16 inches and the piece itself is 22x9 inches.Registrred post is available for an additional five euro.Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
