Antique Signed Richard Smythe Mezzotint Print 1913 Lady Elizabeth Conyngham

Description: Beautiful, authentic antique colour mezzotint engraving print of Sir Thomas Lawrence’s famous masterpiece "Portrait of Lady Elizabeth Conyngham" (daughter of the 1st Marquess Conyngham of Slane Castle).

Engraved by the renowned artist Richard Smythe (1863–1934) and published in 1913. Features the artist’s original pencil signature clearly visible on the bottom right corner.

A fantastic piece of Irish aristocratic history, perfect for a period home or Slane local history enthusiast.

Condition (Priced Lower for Restoration): The inner print and glass are in good order. However, the piece is priced low due to frame and mount wear. The original vintage gilt frame has a split on the top wooden molding showing raw wood, and the decorative top bow element has a vertical crack down the middle (see close-up photos). The cream card mount also shows standard age-related foxing/fading.

Ideal project for someone handy with wood filler/gilding wax, or perfect to reframe entirely.
