Antique 19th century framed lithograph of Saint Anthony of Padua with baby Jesus.

Saint Anthony is especially invoked and venerated all over the world as the patron saint for the recovery of lost items and is credited with many miracles involving lost people, lost things and even lost spiritual goods. St. Anthony Chaplets help devotees to meditate on the thirteen virtues of the saint.

The image of Anthony holding the Divine Infant is a symbol and model for each of us. The image inspires us to go through life clinging to the wonderful mystery of the humble, self-emptying Christ, who accompanies us as a servant of our humanity and of the world’s healing.

A moving piece of art, very atmospheric with many symbols. There is a monogram on the bottom right hand corner with the letters HS.

In good antique condition. It is framed using a wooden frame with a cover of plaster to create a bamboo effect. There are some cracks and splits to the plaster on the frame from age and use.
