When taking into account the framing stamp from Strasbourg, the distinctive high-contrast ink style, and this spelling, the artwork is highly likely a creation by the French bande dessinée (comic book) artist and illustrator Giré (a pseudonym frequently used by regional illustrators or cartoonists in France during that era).
