Hunt Brothers London Upright Piano - damaged keys
This upright piano by Hunt Brothers, London is over 100 years old - made circa1916. It has a mellow, warm tone compared to modern pianos.
It has original ivory keys and two working pedals. All of the keys are working - but it is not in good condition. Sadly, a little kid was messing around one day and broke all of the ends of the keys off - every key is chipped away at the end. It is very much still playable but visually this really impacts the instrument. It is also in need of tuning. It has unusual ornate mother of pearl insets that were once used to hold candles. A piano tuner once offered 400 euro to purchase it from me, before the keys became damaged, but I think he was purchasing the piano as a collectors item.
The Hunt Brothers operated in Camden Town in London, which was a hub for piano manufacturing at the time (1880-1920).
This piano would have to be moved from the house by the person who collects.
Thank you.
