ECOVAC Goat 500 Robotic Lawnmower

I bought this on 1 October 2026 for €450 from a guy who said it was unused and still in an open box, and "in like new condition". It retails for over €800 in shops but he'd ordered a pallet of them.
When I set it up, it looked fine and connected to internet grand but then when I'd set it to dock, it was having issues, either saying not docked, or docking too far with pressure on the bumper, so I explored and found there was damage to the left arm on the dock which meant the charging brake hung down about an extra inch on one side and prevented the robot from docking properly. Anyhow it was an easy fix, with some tape to keep the left sensor at the right height and prevent under/over docking - photo no3.
I guess there's a reason why the guy selling had gotten a pallet of them so cheap.
Overall, still good value for the €450 I paid but dont want to mislead anyone that it is perfect condition when there is this flaw.
I only used Robot mower on 3rd October. It's not for me. I have a robot vacuum which I love so thought the mower would be similar and thought with a smallish garden, it would be great but really, it's more suitable to a bigger patch where the main focus is of cutting in rows rather than so many turns in my smallish odd shaped garden.
I'll be honest, not my best buy, but I tried it. So if anyone is interested in this Robot mower with minor damage to the docking station which is now overcome by patching up with tape, it's still excellent value at €300.
