This unit is designed for BMW E39 / E60 5 Series diesel models (approx. 215hp variants) using bolt-on OEM ring gear setups with ratios in the 2.35 – 2.81 range.

Wavetrac is not a basic helical diff — it uses a patented wave cam preload system which allows it to continue biasing torque even under zero or near-zero axle load (a known limitation of standard ATB units like Quaife). This makes it far more effective in real-world driving, especially under hard cornering or uneven traction conditions.
