Two Day Woodturning Course

Friday 9th & Saturday 10th October

Time: 9.30am – 4.00pm

Our two day woodturning course is designed to cover many aspects of turning including tool selection, sharpening, equipment, skills and safety. This course is suitable for both people with no turning experience as well as those that are looking to regain confidence & brush up on skills after spending time away from the lathe. The extra time on the two day course allows for students to learn tool sharpening techniques and complete a number of projects which may include a garden dibber, candlestick, bowl & egg cup. Projects may vary from course to course due to time constraints.

Techniques demonstrated include turning between centres, beads & coves and the use of screw chucks & 4 jaw self-centring chucks.

A maximum of 6 participants are taken on each course ensuring you receive adequate attention for the class duration.

Held above our store in Naas, W91XH68, our recently redeveloped classroom will provide you with a bright & spacious environment to work in. You will have use of all our classroom equipment, lathe & turning tools. Timber required will also be provided as will an apron & safety wear.
