All nappies are freshly washed and ready to use. I also have extra inserts to go with each brand.
It may look overwhelming to begin with, but I found most inserts can be interchanged between brands so there's no need to worry too much about using them.
Most inserts are cotton or Bamboo (great for absorption) and also some microfiber.
