Passat B6 parking brake control module reflashing / update or replace

Volkswagen Passat B6 2005- parking brake control module fixing.
If your car gives the following warning message and the yellow light is constantly on, your parking brake control module is possibly faulty. The following fault code also stored in the module:

02845 - Function Display in Instrument Cluster

If you can not clear this fault, your parking brake control module is faulty and needs a firmware upgrade or in worst case it needs to be replaced and reprogrammed.
Software / firmware update is €90, new module fitted and programmed is €120
