Golden Shamrock 30ft Sailing Yacht

‘Orinoco’ is a Golden Shamrock 30, a boat designed by the renowned Ron Holland, that’s had a huge amount of important work done in recent seasons. The hull is in good condition , very solid and professionally resprayed three seasons ago. Last year she got three fresh coats of antifoul, and there’s even a tin of the same antifoul left over for next season. She’s masthead‑rigged spinnaker and has always been a straightforward, dependable boat to sail.
Over winter the Yanmar GM10 was lifted out and refurbished, and she’s had new rudder bushings fitted, a new bilge pump installed, and the house battery replaced this summer. A full liferaft bought in 2023 comes with her as well.
Inside, all the cushions were reupholstered in cream waterproof faux leather, currently has 5 single berths and v berth in the bow was removed for storage but capability to rebuild another berth there, there’s a built‑in cooler box, and she has a gas gimbal cooker onboard. A marine toilet is included too, just not installed at the moment. Electronics include full 12v system rewired 2 seasons ago and optional plug in shore power for 240v also included are an older chartplotter and VHF that haven’t seen much use
On deck, the sails are old but solid, the genoa furler works very well, and all winches run smoothly. Orinoco has been raced, cruised, and has done a few offshore passages. She’s always been a fun, reliable sailboat and would make a great family cruiser or club racer for someone looking for a well cared for Shamrock with the big jobs already done. 8500 ono.
