Drascombe Coaster For Sale
Drascombe Coaster, designed by John Watkinson and built by Honnor Marine, for sale. Introduced in 1979, the Coaster was conceived to provide the same seaworthiness and shallow draft versatility as its open boat siblings but with the crucial addition of a small, enclosed cabin. The Coaster has remained a staple of the traditional sailing scene, prized for its ability to be trailed behind a family car and launched in ankle-deep water.
Basics
• Length: 6.63 meters (21 feet 9 inches)
• Draft: 0.3m (1 foot) with the centreboard up, making it great for beaching
• Features: A small cabin with two berths. It has traditional wooden masts and tan sails.
• Serial Number: Drascombe hull number 33.
• Trailer: Mecanorem “Break Back”.
The cabin provides two full length berths and plenty of storage space.
A Tohatsu 8hp outboard engine with electric start is fitted and sits within a well allowing easy and swift raising when not in use. The centre plate sits within an integral trunk and is operated by a winch from the cockpit.
As with all of the Drascombe range the Coaster can be easily launched and recovered by one person and the boat can be trailed or left on a mooring.
