Korg Electribe SX ESX-1SD sampler, sequencer and effects groovebox in great condition, tested and fully working.


What’s the SD version?

This is the later ESX-1SD, not the original SmartMedia ESX-1. It has the same sample-based groovebox, 16-part sequencer, effects and twin vacuum-tube circuit, but Korg updated it in 2010 with:

SD card storage instead of SmartMedia. SmartMedia cards are long discontinued, small and hard to find. SD cards are cheap and easy to get, and you can back up or transfer your samples and patterns with an ordinary card reader.

Refreshed factory patterns and sounds.

Internal sample memory is the same as the original, so the SD card is for storage and backup rather than extra sampling time.


Condition: Great. There are no loose knobs, scratchy pots or sticky faders, and every pad, button and fader responds properly. Both vacuum tubes light up. It’s completely original, with nothing replaced or modded. Main L/R outputs and individual outputs 3/4 work perfectly.


Headphones : The headphone output isn’t producing sound in my testing, so I’ve priced it accordingly. The main outputs work perfectly.
