The Ford P4000 was a branded 1G analogue mobile cellular phone released around 1993 and manufactured by Motorola. It was marketed and distributed through Ford Cellular Systems as a promotional or optional accessory for new car buyers in the early 1990s
Based closely on the body and hardware of the Motorola TeleTAC handheld analogue phone series.
Operated on analog ETACS (Extended Total Access Communication System) cellular networks, primarily used in the UK and Europe.
Included a direct-dial shortcut programmed into the number 1 key to connect users instantly to the RAC (Royal Automobile Club) roadside vehicle recovery service.
Measures approximately 160 x 60 x 35 mm and weighed roughly 285 grams.
Includes charging dock.
Phone powering up fine. Cannot guarantee any battery life. Obviously cannot test the phone operation any further due to it being an analogue unit. So sold purely for spares repairs, collectible item. Good aesthetic condition.
