Fitted as an optional extra to some Ford vehicles from about 1996, Mondeo etc. Allowed direct calling to roadside breakdown recovery services such as the RAC via the onboard Telematics modules.

Essentially a Ford branded Motorola D460 which is also very similar to the Motorola Flare variant. Same charger is applicable. This is a very rare phone.

Phone is powering up fine when briefly tested. (See pics) Cannot guarantee any battery life of equipped battery however, so will list as spares and repairs. I cannot test any further as the keypad must have a pin number on it from previous use, just gets a message from the phone saying 'enter pin' so it may have other issues which I can't identify due to its locked status.


Full size GSM sim card (credit card size) is included inside the phone, this phone would have been locked to the UK Cellnet network of the time (who were succeeded by O2)

These phones can be unlocked where a sim adaptor is used which will make it possible to use on today's networks.
