Vintage Art Deco Fox Terrier Companion Set with Coppery Lustre Glaze

Beautiful Art Deco fireside companion set featuring a classic sitting Fox Terrier.This piece features a striking metallic coppery lustre glaze finish that gives the iron a fantastic iridescent sheen. The back of the dog casting is cleanly stamped "Made in England". It is the iconic 1930s pattern famously used by foundries like Nestor during the Art Deco era. Width is 22cm (8.7"). Height is 37cm (14.6"). Depth is 11.5cm (4.5").  The main terrier casting and the rear metal bracket are in excellent vintage condition. The rear tool rack is secured by its original nut-and-bolt assembly, meaning it could easily be dismantled if the buyer wishes to use the dog solely as a standalone doorstop.This is an original 4-hook set but is missing the tongs. It comes with 3 original matching fireside tools: Hearth Shovel, Hearth Brush and Fire Poker. Heavy item (about 2.5kg). Collection only from Castleknock.
