reclaimed victorian door
It's a four-panel design, moulded on one face and plain on the other, in proper old-growth pine with a lovely grain. The door has been hand stripped rather than dipped, so the joints are sound and the timber hasn't been dried out or warped by caustic. The back has come up a warm honey colour.
Some paint traces remain in the mouldings and on the finger plate, and there are marks and minor panel shrinkage consistent with its age. All of it adds to the character. It's ready for a final sand and wax or oil, or paint if you prefer.
Ideal for a period restoration or anyone who wants a real original door rather than a reproduction.
