Bodum Teaball Teapot by Carsten Jorgensen 1980s
This is a stunning example of Danish design by Carsten Joergensen who developed this 'Teaball' teapot in around 1986 for the Danish homewares company, Bodum. This is an elegant and beautifully designed set and has a distinctive look.
The strainer is marked with Bodum Design Carsten Joergensen.
The teapot is made in brushed stainless steel with a domed lid and a removable semi-circular tea strainer also signed. There are three bronze ball feet on tripod stainless steel legs, and the teapot features a short triangular shaped spout, and a hinged black wooden handle with bronze screws. A domed lid with a round bronze finial rests on a lip beneath the teapot rim. A deep, semi circular strainer sits inside the teapot, and its arched wire handle fits under the domed lid, the strainer is in perfect condition. I have only ever had this set on Display.
The milk and teapot are also in beautiful vintage condition.
