Decorative Chinese Style Lacquered Jewellery Chest with Key

Beautiful and unusual Chinese-style lacquered jewellery/storage cabinet, finished in black with red and gold hand-painted-style floral and bird decoration.

The cabinet has a hinged top storage compartment, two opening front doors and a lovely arrangement of four internal drawers/compartments. Decorative metal hinges, corner fittings and traditional-style hardware give it loads of character.

Original-style key is included and shown in the photographs.

A really striking decorative piece that could be used as a jewellery chest, keepsake box, tabletop cabinet or decorative storage piece.

It is a pre-owned piece with age-related marks and wear. There is damage around the fittings on the inside of the doors, clearly photographed, and the price reflects this. Otherwise a very charming and unusual little cabinet.
