Restored vintage armchair in Colefax & fowler

A really beautiful and unusual vintage armchair, professionally restored and reupholstered a couple of years ago.

The chair was fully stripped back and restored to the frame before being reupholstered in a gorgeous rich coral/red Colfax & Fowler velvet, finished with a decorative Colfax & Fowler woven trim across the front.

It has a lovely sculptural shape with sweeping arms, a shaped back, tapered wooden legs and original-style brass castors.

The chair has had very little use since being restored and remains in excellent condition.

I don’t know the exact age or maker of the chair, so I would prefer not to attribute it incorrectly, but it is a beautifully made and substantial piece.

A wonderful statement chair for a bedroom, drawing room, hallway or sitting room — and completely unique.
