I am downsizing my furniture in advance of a house move, so all bar one of my china cabinets will have to go, as I have four, but won’t have room for all of them when we move. I am now keeping the one with the clock for personal reasons, so this one is available instead.

It’s a lovely mid century Flat fronted D-Shaped Wooden Four-Legged China Cabinet with two glass shelves, which provides a lot of display shelves behind the glass door. Plus, you can display items on the top as I have done! They could do with more regular dusting lol!!

The cabinet has one glass door in the centre section, with two side sections that don’t open. There are three glass panels in total and the large centre glass door panel has intricate vine leaf and floral decoration around the edge.

All three panels are in good condition with none missing or cracked. The back of the cabinet is covered in the original vintage jacquard fabric (hard to photograph with all the china in it!!). The two glass shelves are original, and can be removed for transport. Part of the original SF Quinn label is on the reverse, but the part with the model number is missing.

The lock and key are also original and working perfectly.

The cabinet section stands 42.25 inches/107.5cm tall at the front and one inch taller at the back, as there is a lip to stop items falling behind. It is 35 inches/ 89cm wide at the back and is 12 inches/ 30 cm in depth, at the widest point.

The china cabinet is in very good vintage condition with little damage, apart from needing a dust! The only issue is top of the cabinet has a couple of water rings as photographed and would benefit from sanding and re-finishing. It is in original condition with no upcycling having been carried out.

This would be a perfect blank canvas of a china cabinet. It can be left in the lovely colour it already has, or it could be stripped/sanded and re-painted in a colour of your choosing. The fabric backing could be replaced with new funky fabric or wallpaper. It could be up-cycled into a drinks cabinet or bathroom cabinet. Or leave as is, as I have done for many years, the choice is yours!!!
