Extremely Rare Antique Javanese / Dutch Colonial Teak Daybed / Settee Bench
A striking and unusual antique carved wooden settee/settle bench, believed to be of Javanese or Dutch Colonial Indonesian origin.
Constructed from solid hardwood, likely teak. Features beautifully hand-carved floral and scrollwork decoration with original green and yellow polychrome paint details still present. The bench retains its traditional pegged construction with large exposed wooden pegs and has developed a wonderful patina over time.
A real statement piece that would suit a period home, country house, interior design project, boutique hotel, or collector of Asian and colonial furniture.
