Antique German Vienna wall clock

Beautiful antique German Vienna-style wall clock, believed to date from the late 19th century, circa 1880–1900.

Very ornate wooden architectural case featuring turned columns, horse finial, classical female face decoration, Roman numeral dial with red detailing and a particularly unusual decorative lady-on-a-swing pendulum.

The original-style mechanical movement, pendulum, coiled gong and beat scale are all present.

The clock has been stored for a long period and I do not believe it is currently working, so it is being sold as untested / not working and as-is. I have not attempted to wind, repair or interfere with the mechanism.

As shown in the photographs, there is dust and cobwebbing from storage. I have deliberately not cleaned or polished the clock as I did not want to risk damaging the original finish, patina, woodwork, metalwork or mechanism. I felt it was better left untouched for a collector or professional to clean appropriately.
